PREMISE: Effective Management of Youth Organisations is crucial making youths productive members of their community. Youths are usually filled with bright ideas, initiatves and energies which can contribute significantly to the development of their community, if properly harnessed. Unfornately, these attributes are often not tapped due to the inadequate mobilization and participatory skills of the youth development officers and practitioners. These skills are necessary for managing youth organisations and main-streaming youths into community and national developoment.
OBJECTIVES:
This course, therefore, is to enchance the participants' knowledge and skills to effectively manage youth organisations. At the end of the course, participants should be able to:

- moilize and organize youths for community development programmes and initiatives.
- apply participatory approaches in managing youths; and
- use a variety of management skills/techniques to effectively manage organisations.
