Agricultural Project Planning and Implementation Management |

PREMISE: Development Projects (agricultural, rural, forestry, livestock, fishery and other community-based
projects), need to put in place a system for
effective planning and implementation. For the
achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)
and other poverty reduction strategies, all new
projects for agricultural and rural development
require identification and planning skills. The on-going
ARD projects on their on their part, require the
requisite skills skills for effective implementation
to ensure project sustainability.
The success of
ARD projects in the Seven-Points Agenda of this
administration and the MDGs demand on the capacity
building of managers in this sector of the economy.
OBJECTIVES:
The main objective of this course is to increase and enhance participants' understanding of the concepts and techniques employed in modern planning and implementation of agricultural and rural development projects.
At the end of the course, participants should be able to:

- design feasible and viable projects;
- schedule project activities, (sequentially), for effective implementation;
- use project resources efficiently and effectively; and
- write appropriate project report.

- Network analysis for project implementation (with micro-computer application).
- Sustainability monitoring and evaluation for project.
- Project/Business plan report writing.
